Universal Orlando: How to Make Dining Reservations

Theme parks in Orlando are known for having an abundance of restaurants and dining options. However, sometimes these restaurants can be hard to get into during your trip. Disney is notorious for having backed up reservations for highly desired restaurants many days in advance but Universal’s dining is much different in how to book your reservations. So, can you make dining reservations at Universal Orlando? Yes. However, not all restaurants on Universal property are owned and operated by Universal. This means the reservation process is not as seamless as if you were booking with Disney.

Making your reservation

Things to keep in mind, we recommend making your dining reservations at Universal about a month or two in advance. Since Universal does not own all of the restaurants on their property, the reservations made online would be through outside sources. Universal Orlando’s website provides links to book your dining reservations, but these links direct you to another site called zomatobook. Below we put together a list of all the sit-down dining options that allow reservations. These restaurants are listed based on location at Universal Orlando, along with their reservation information.

These are guests who are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel, Portifino Bay, and Royal Pacific. To obtain priority seating at certain Universal restaurants, you must show a valid hotel key card for one of the three previously stated hotels to be seated quicker.

  • Why are other restaurants like Bubba Gump not on here?

These other restaurants and eating establishments at Universal that we have not mentioned do not accept reservations, like Bubba Gump at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk. Or some restaurants we left unmentioned, like Marvel’s Character Dinner, are temporarily closed as of August 2022.
