At a theme park not so far away, we have… A New Star Wars Resort! If you haven’t heard already, the name of this resort is Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser! It is located (at 201 South Studio Drive Bay Lake, Florida 32830) near Disney’s Hollywood Studios to be close to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This resort is different from any other Disney Resort we have seen by far, requiring guests to stay for only two nights aboard this ship. Here at this resort, guests have the opportunity to immerse themselves into the world, or should we say the galaxy, of Star Wars. Guests get to experience and be a part of live immersive theater in a themed environment with culinary extravaganza and real-life role-playing.Â
What to expect
When guests first arrive for their galactic departure, they have a choice to make of joining the First Order or the Resistance, which are the Sith or Jedi forces from the newer Star Wars movies and series. From these choices, guests are placed into the story of the Star Wars universe living as a traveler staying on the Galactic Starcruiser known as the Halcyon. This starcruiser has so much to offer guests with lightsaber training, bridge training, and a sunlight lounge aboard. The possibilities are endless! Guests are encouraged to dress the part of the character they wish to create for themselves as their Star Wars journey unfolds, but they are not required to if guests decide against wearing costumes. Please keep in mind there are costume guidelines for guests who would like to participate in getting into full character to feel even more a part of the Disney magic during their stay. Both the first and second episodes will premiere on the 27th due to the delay and push back of the show’s originally scheduled airdate on Disney Plus. Star Wars and Disney fans alike have a lot to be excited about with this Star Wars news in the air because it certainly is followed by many more Star Wars series and movies on the way that are currently in the works.Â

Let’s not forget about celebrating Star Wars this month! May 4th, which is upcoming, is known amongst Disney fans to be Star Wars Day. As a play on words off the famous Star Wars line, May the force be with you, fans celebrate the franchise of Star Wars on May the Fourth. Followed by May 5th and 6th, referred to as Revenge of the Fifth, and May the Sixth, as a play on words off the movie title Revenge of the Sith and for Star Wars fans who might enjoy the dark side a little more.
