Orlando is a fun place to be with many different things to do. However, the weather isn’t always so great. Especially in the summer and during hurricane season, the weather can put a halt on the fun. So here are some indoor activities you can experience in Orlando to keep the fun going in any weather! 

Indoor Activities in Orlando

1. Dezerland

Dezerland is Florida’s largest indoor attraction. Here there is a multitude of activities that you can participate in and explore. There is axe throwing, go-karting, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, a trampoline park, pinball palace, bowling, an auto museum, and more!

 

2. Orlando Museum of Art

2416 N Mills Ave, Orlando, FL 32803

The Orlando Museum of Art is a non-profit organization that annually displays between 10 and 12 exhibits. The exhibits and the artwork range from many different periods and genres of art. There is an entrance fee but if you are a student with a valid ID, you can receive a discounted price of admission.

 

3. Icon Park

Icon Park, located off of I-Drive is known for being home to the iconic Orlando Eye. However, it has so much more to offer. Over at Icon Park, there are indoor attractions that include the Museum of Illusions, Madame Tussauds Orlando, and SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium. All are great activities to spend some time indoors and still have a blast exploring Orlando!

 

4. Skating Rink

Find the nearest to you. There are many skating rinks in the Orlando area, two of the most popular ones are Semoran Skateway and Astro Skate.

In Florida, indoor skating rinks are very popular since the weather can be too extreme to skate outdoors at times. Going to the skating rink can be a great way to stay active and burn some energy all while in some air conditioning.

 

5. Go to the Movies

Find the nearest to you. There is even a movie theater at Disney Springs!

Sure you have streaming services and can practically watch any movie at home. But, that still doesn’t beat the experience of going to the movies.

 

6. WonderWorks

WonderWorks is the iconic Orlando upside-down house. You can take part in laser tag, a glow-in-the-dark ropes course, 4D XD Motion Theater, and the Wonder Zones. The Wonder Zones are made of 6 different areas where you can learn and have fun. The 6 Wonder Zones are the extreme weather zone, physical challenging zone, space discovery zone, wonder art gallery, light and sound zone, and imagination lab.

 

7. Crayola Experience

8001 S Orange Blossom Trl, Orlando, FL 32809

Immerse yourself into the world of Crayola! Play, color, and create! Name your own crayon, melt crayons into new creations, bring your drawings to life, and more! This colorful experience is fun, entertaining, and all indoors near the Florida Mall!

 

8. iFLY Indoor Skydiving

Experience what it feels like to skydive but without actually skydiving. At iFLY you enter into a giant clear tube that will have air coming through the floor that has the strength and force to give you the ability to fly!

 

9. Attempt an Escape Room

Find an escape room near you. There are plenty of escape rooms off of I-Drive to choose from!

An escape room is a great way to spend some time together! Typically they are an hour long for you and your group of friends and/or family to sleuth and escape the clutches of your locked room. Find your way out in a series of clues and put all the pieces of the mysterious puzzle together to escape!

 

10. Go Bowling at Splitsville

Located at Disney Springs, is Splitsville! Go bowling but at Disney! As you can see in the image above, the bowling balls are etched with images of Mickey Mouse and his friends! Plus, after this magical game of bowling is done, you can hop from store to store walking around Disney Springs!

 

11. Watch a show at Dr. Phillips

Shows and times may vary. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to experience a show-stopping performance at the Dr. Phillips Center!

 

12. Attend an Event at the Amway Center

400 W Church St Suite 200, Orlando, FL 32801

Events and times may vary as well. At the Amway Center, you can catch an Orlando Magic Game or go see a concert!
